What is a Cafe Sevice ?

Settle Methodist church has a cafe style service every three months, in the church hall at 4pm

We meet and drift in at 4pm and eat sandwiches and cakes. We sit at one of the five or so tables put out and chat to the other people on the table. The more enthusiastic people fill in the easy quiz sheet supplied on the table, the rest just chat.

By 4.15 the leader tells us the theme of the afternoon. Then there may be stories, quizes, competitions, games illustrating this theme. We usually have a song or two and finish with a short prayer.

This is suitable for people aged 0 to 110.
