 Mon 6 Jan –  Cheltenham: Bacon Theatre, Hatherley Road: Film Night: A Convenient Prequel (PG). A quintessentially British and humorous take on climate change �� Al Gore and Greta Thurnberg, coupled with a deconstruction of Swedish sustainability.  Director Jack Guest says: “In no uncertain terms we face a huge problem on planet earth and my film looks at turning that problem into an opportunity, showing that we can make things work, for everybody. Wed 12 Feb: CofE Synod: There will be a debate this morning on the CofE Motion about Change: Bristol Diocese is looking to table an amendment to the climate emergency motion at General Synod to encourage the Church to be much more ambitious in its carbon reduction target. “Specifically, we are pushing for net zero carbon by 2030 rather than 2045, as currently stated in the motion. This follows our decision as a Diocese to set a 2030 target last November (alongside the City Council and the University of Bristol).”
